Ighalo fail to shine as Al-Shabab suffer second defeat of the season

Odion Ighalo fired blank as Al-Shabab FC suffered a 2-0 defeat to Al-Fateh in the Saudi Arabian Premier encounter on Thursday.

The former Nigerian international played from start to finish but failed to replicate the form that saw him scored twice in their previous game.

The former Manchester United and Watford striker was yellow carded, while his teammate Ever Banega was given a straight red card.

Saudi Arabian forward Firas al-Buraikan scored the opener for Al-Fateh on the 25th minute, before his compatriot Nawaf Mashari Boushal sealed the victory with six minutes left on the clock.

The defeat means Al-Shabab are still searching for their first win of the season, after three matches. They suffered two defeats and recorded a draw so far.
