Super Eagles striker and Shanghai Shenhua of China player, Odion Jude Ighalo is backing his fellow Super Eagles teammates to have an injury-free AFCON campaign in Egypt.
Ighalo was one of several players to hit the camp late, ahead of tomorrow’s friendly against Zimbabwe in Asaba.
Speaking to www.brila.net, Ighalo also added that he is looking up to God to help the entire players in camp to stay injury free, while they look to make Nigeria proud.
“Am here in camp doing what I know how to best, that’s the way I am going to prepare, trying to take the opportunity to score goals and get the match feelings with the National team”.
“We work with the lads and continue from where we stopped. By God’s grace, we are looking forward to staying injury free, we keep working hard and hopefully, we will make Nigerians proud”.
Meanwhile, three-time champions Nigeria have fully settled down in Asaba for the match, which is the first of their two remaining games leading up to the AFCON.
Their last match is against Africa’s number one –ranked team, Senegal in Ismailia on Sunday, 16th June.
