Ighalo wins First Career League Title

Odion Ighalo is now a league winner after 17 years career in professional football.

The striker was on parade as Al Hilal defeated Al-Faisal at the King Fahd International Stadium to win the Saudi Pro League title.

Ighalo scored both goals for the AFC Champions, while Clayton netted a late consolation for the relegation threatened Al-Faisaly.

Al Hilal finished the campaign with 67 points from 30 games — two more than their closest challenger Al Ittihad who dropped points on the final day of the season.

The league title is Ighalo’s second major honor since turning professional. He won the Chinese Cup with Shanghai Shenhua in 2020.

The 33-year-old signed for Al Hilal from Al-Shabab back in January.
