Nigerians might not have a chance to see Manchester United forward, Odion Ighalo in the Green and White jersey again, his mom has affirmed this fact.
Ighalo, who ended as top scorer at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with five goals, decided to retire from the national team despite calls for him to stay.
Speaking to brila.net, Ighalo’s mother who clocked 75 today said the Ajegunle-born footballer will never play for the Super Eagles again following the ugly 2018 FIFA World Cup experience.
“He is yet to mention anything like coming back to the National team to me, even if he wants to, I cannot allow him,” Mrs Ighalo said.

The United forward already took to Twitter to share stunning pictures of his beloved mother with the caption: “Happy birthday to my Sweet Mum.”
