Iheanacho Bags First Goal Of The Season For Leicester City

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for Leicester City as they edged Luton town 4-0 in Carabao Cup game at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday.

The former Manchester City player was named among the substitutes for the game by Coach Brendan Rodgers, inspite of Jamie Vardy omission from the starting eleven.

Iheanacho came on for summer signing Ayoze Perez in the 71st minutes for his first appearance of the season for the Foxes and didn’t disappoint.

Damarai Gray opened the scoring for Leicester City before James Justin added the second to give the former English Champions comfortable lead into the half time break.

After the restart, Youri Tielemans and Kelechi Iheanacho wrapped up the victory with two goals in the final 11 minutes.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho’s compatriot Wilfred Ndidi started the game and was replaced with 12 minutes left on the clock.
