Kelechi Ihenacho has admitted that Leicester City hasn’t been good all season, following their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday.
The Foxes were beaten 3-1 by Tottenham on Sunday and the defeat left them 11th in the Premier League with 42 points from 33 matches.
Harry Kane scored the first, against the run of play, he converted Son’s delivery corner.
Sweden attacker Dejan Kulusevski drove forward and picked out Son, who turned and fired in for 2-0.
The third of the afternoon arrived not long after, however, as Son bent a stunner into the top corner with his left foot.
Iheanacho got a consolation goal for Leicester City when he drove home from 20 yards – the Nigerian’s ninth goal of the season across all competitions.
“We are disappointed, we lost, but we played well in both halves. We have to move on and don’t have to dwell on that.” Iheanacho told LCTV
“We were better at some point, we moved the ball well, but they scored, like I said, we lost the duel and we haven’t been good all season, so we have to continue working.”
On the goal he scored, Ihenacho said:
“I just took the ball quite well, I moved the ball and saw the space and just shoot, but it’s not important because we lost and the goal came late”.
Next for Leicester City is the second leg of the UEFA Conference League Semi-Final versus AS Roma is next up on Thursday at Stadio Olimpico.
