Nigeria youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho has not been named among the players Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola could potentially leave out of his squad for the club’s US pre-season tour.
Iheanacho, 20, has been rumored to be on the verge of leaving teh Etihad for another Premier League club, but those talks have now cooled off.
The Nigeria International saw very little game time after the January acquisition of Brazilian striker, Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.
According to Mike Keegan [Mail], sources at the club have disclosed that Guardiola will leave out “£100m worth of talent” when they jet out.
“City declined to comment but the Catalan is thought to be keen on giving youngsters a taste of first-team life instead of taking those not in his plans.
“The club are also wary that a number of players will be looking to secure moves and may not wish to be thousands of miles from the UK while doing so.”
Meanwhile, the full list of players for the US tour will be announced next week one of the players who will not be listed is Ivory Coast’s Wilfried Bony.
Other names mentioned include Goalkeeper Joe Hart, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri and Jason Denayer.
City fly to America in two weeks for their pre-season tour.
