A goal involving Kelechi Iheanacho has been voted as Leicester City’s goal of the 2012-22 season.
Iheanacho himself did not win an award in the season-ending recognition, but his assist to Youri Tielemans at the King Power against Manchester United was adjudged the best goal scored by the Foxes last season.
The Nigerian disposed Harry Maguire on the right flank and fed it to Tielemans on the edge of the area, who wasted no time as he swept a curling effort that fell just inside the top corner of the far post, leaving David De Gea stranded.
It brought the score level at 1-1 in the first half as they the Foxes went on eventually to win 4-2.
Caglar Soyuncu, Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka were the other goalscorers for Leicester City and the result of the game also entered the club’s history books.
The victory was the third in a row over Manchester United in all competitions after a 3-1 FA Cup win and a 2-1 win at Old Trafford last season.
