Paul Onuachu and Ike Ugbo were involved in KRC Genk’s 3-2 defeat to Eupen in the Belgian Jupiler League encounter on Sunday.
Paul Onuachu who has been on good form in the past few week started from the bench, while Ugbo was given a rare start.
Genk started brightly and took the lead inside the opening 11th minute when Belgian midfielder Kristian Thorstvedt beat the opposing goalkeeper from close range.
Genk’s opening goal lasted for five minutes, before the hosts hit back through Bosnian star Smail Prevljak and the first half ended 1-1.
After nervy start from both side in the second half, Genk finally regained their lead in the 71st, when Ike Ugbo beat Eupen goalkeeper with a low drive.
It was his second goal for the Club, since joining in a €12m deal from English side Chelsea.
However, the game took a dramatic twist as Eupen scored twice in the last five minutes to snatch all the three points.
Smail Prevljak scored a penalty in the 86th minute to make it 2-2 and Jonathan Heris scored the winner for Eupen in the added time.
Coach John Van Den Brook introduced Onuachu, but he was unable to salvage a point for the Genkies.
The result leaves Genk in fourth position with 17 points from 10 matches, although are three points behind leaders Eupen.
