Victor Ikpeba insists he will continue to criticize the Super Eagles after an apparent fall out with forward Victor Osimhen over the team’s World Cup qualification debacle.

Recall after Nigeria lost the Qatar 2022 ticket to Ghana, Ikpeba was critical of Osimhen, who missed two big chances in the decider against the Black Stars.

Osimhem was involved in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ghana across the two legs but did not score a goal as Nigeria went out on away goals.

Speaking in his role as a pundit, Ikpeba said about the Striker: “He needs to understand when to play the ball and when to play bicycle kicks.”

Osimhen, apparently didn’t appreciate the criticism and hit back at he former Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco star with a social media post.

Osimhen’s reactions dominated the media space for days — with many fans and ex players calling on him to tender an apology to the former Nigeria international.

Reacting to the whole saga, Ikpeba said he has moved on, but won’t stop criticizing the National team when they failed to do well.

“We want the best for our young players, I will never shy away from being critical about the national team, that’s what we owe our fans and the followers of the show,” Ikpeba said on his TV show since the incident.

“So, I’ve moved on.”
