Ilechukwu attracts interest from NPFL top clubs

Heartland coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is reportedly attracting the interest of some top Nigeria professional football league sides.

The former Mountain of Fire of Lagos head coach only joined the Naze millionaires at the beginning of last season, but reports claimed some team are looking to price him away from the Club.

Reports claimed that club are monitoring his current situation as current management uncertainties at Heartland continue to cast doubt over his future at the club.

The former national U-23 team assistant coach is also said to be frustrated with Heartland FC inability to pay players and coaches for the past six (6) months.

Meanwhile, Fidelis Ilechukwu’s representative revealed they are not in a hurry to take decision over his future. “We are very patient and in no rush to making a decision about his [Fidelis Ilechukwu] future. When the time is right, a decision would be made about if he’d continue with Heartland FC or move elsewhere.”

“Yes, he still has a valid contract with Heartland FC but there are clauses that if need be we can explore. So, Coach Ilechukwu is in Heartland FC today because he still has a belief in the project the club is offering but the next few weeks would be very decisive,” he said.
