Coach of Heartland FC Fidelis Ilechukwu is relishing his side’s penchant for breaking record after beating in form Sunshine stars of Akure 1-0 Sunday evening in Owerri to climb up to 7th on the NPFL log.
Ilechukwu speaking in a chat with brila.net said his side have had a fair share of stopping record chasing teams this season after ending Plateau’s unbeaten run at a point, beating Enyimba in Aba and also Abia warriors for the first time attest to the motivation that comes for his side against record chasing teams.
“We have broken so many records here in as much as there is a little crisis we stopped Plateau united unbeaten, we beat Enyimba in Aba, beat Abia warriors for the first time so the same thing we have done against Sunshine football club.
“I have been monitoring Sunshine, I even send one of my friend to monitor their training sessions and we did everything to win and thank God we have the three maximum point in our bag.”
