MFM FC Manager, Fidelis Ilechukwu has expressed his optimism that the Lagos-based club is capable of producing a comeback against Djoliba AC in the return Leg of the CAF Confederations Cup.
In an interview with brila.net, Ilechukwu stated that he is still very much optimistic of producing a turnaround right there in Mali, in order to advance from the Playoff.
However, the Nigerian Tactician admitted the enormity of the task facing his side in the attempt to overturn first leg result where the Malian side stunned MFM in Lagos.
MFM paid for their lacklustre performance in the first leg as they bowed to the more determined Djoliba AC after they fielded what could be described as the second team in a continental championship.
MFM had started the game on a wrong footing as they were dominated by Djoliba FC in the first half.
“All hope is not lost,” Ilechukwu told brila.net.
“We still have the time to rewrite the script ahead of the game tomorrow” the Manager added
Djoliba AC will host the Olukoya boys in Mali tomorrow, 18th April in the second leg of the Confederations Cup playoff.
