I’m committed to the Super Eagles — Uzoho

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho says he’s committed to the Super Eagles and not thinking about taking a break.

Uzoho is listed in the Super Eagles squad for the clash against Mexico and Ecuador next month.

However, reports from some sections of the media claimed the former Elche Goalkeeper wants to be left out of the game, following the criticisms he received after Super Eagles World Cup qualifiers.

The goalkeeper came under heavy criticism after he committed a blunder in Nigeria’s 1-1 home draw against eternal rivals, Ghana in a 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs in March.

The error proved costly as the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Reacting to the reports, Ozuho through the Super Eagles’ official Twitter handle,  said he’s committed to the team.

“I’m committed to playing for my dear country anytime I’m called up,” Uzoho said in a social media post retweeted by the Super Eagles’ official Twitter handle.

The 23-year-old is now expected to join the team in the United States of America for the friendlies.
