“I’m fine and ready for the next game”, says Osimhen after sustaining head injury vs Cagliari

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has dismissed reports that he could be out for a couple of days after sustaining a head injury on Sunday.

Osimhen was substituted in Napoli’s 1-1 home draw with Cagliari at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Sunday after a clash of the head with defender Luca Ceppitelli.

The 21-year-old was bleeding before being taken off, but he has now confirmed that he is fine and can’t wait to go for the next match.

“I’m fine and already can’t wait for the next match. We’ll give it all to the end” he said via a post on his social media handle.

Osimhen scored Napoli’s only goal of the game in the 13th minute which ended in a draw, no thanks to a late equalizer from Nahitan Nandez.

Osimhen has contributed ten goals and four assists in 28 matches for Napoli this season.
