Imama Amapakabo and the Dream Team technical crew have been advised to perfect their plans to stop Sudan forward Waleed Hamid when the sides go head to head in the third round of the 2019 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Hamid, who plays for Sudanese side Al Hilal, is currently the top scorer of the CAF Confederation Cup with 6 goals, helping the side progress to the quarter-final.
Coupled with his fine goals return for the club, the forward’s brace against Kenya also ensured qualification for Sudan to the final qualifying round on a 2-0 aggregate win.
He already has three goals in the qualification rounds of the competition.
In a telephone chat from his base in Sudan, Nigerian Coach of Al-Hilal ESC (Al-Fasher), Mohamed Azeez, identified the 20 year-old as the player to watch.
He revealed that the Sudan team have been well motivated by the government ahead of the June date against Nigeria.
