Forward Umar Sadiq continued his brilliant goalscoring run in the Spanish Segunda Division after netting inspiring Almeria’s 3-1 win over Malaga at Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium on Sunday.
Sadiq opened scoring for Almeria in the 11th minute after connecting well with a pass from Fran Villalba.
The goal was his sixth of the season for José Gomes’ men following his arrival from Partizan Belgrade in the summer.
Joaquín Muñoz equalised for Malaga on the stroke of halftime, while Nikola Maraš’s 78th-minute effort and Largie Ramazani’s strike in the 93rd minute saw Almeria claim maximum points at home.
The victory saw the Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium outfit maintain their 3rd spot on the log having amassed 38 points from 18 matches.
Up next for Sadiq and his teammates is a Copa del Ray clash with L’hospitalet on December 16.
