Injured Onazi donates 500k to Kano Pillars

OGENYI Onazi donated the sum of N500,000 to NPFL side Kano Pillars, after he payed a visit to the team‘s training camp in Abuja on Wednesday.

Onazi who is reportedly at loggerheads with the Super Eagles technical crew touched down in Abuja where the Sai Masu Gida were camping for the upcoming Nigeria professional football league season and made the gesture after the team’s training session.

Meanwhile, the Trabzonspor of Turkey defensive midfielder has been declared injured by club after he played all 90 minutes in lastweekend‘s league meeting with Fenerbache.

Onazi‘s injury was announced via the club’s official website after helping them to a 2:1 win over the former Turkish champions.

 

“A physical examination was taken and it was discovered that Ogenyi Onazi sustained a second-degree muscle injury,”Bozdogan the Club doctor was quoted in a statement on the club’s official website.

 

The former Lazio midfielder, who had a complaint of muscle pain in his right calf will start working with the team within three weeks after the treatment is started.

Onazi was overlooked for Super Eagles last two 2019 AFCON qualifier games by Coach Gernot Rohr, he missed the games against Mediterranean knights of Libya in Sfax and Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Johannesburg .
