Injured Super Eagles Midfielder Eyeing Serbia Return

Oghenekaro Etebo is hoping to be fit enough to join the Super Eagles for the friendly against Serbia after he was ruled out of Friday’s Poland match.

Etebo, who plays for La Liga side Las Palmas, is carrying a knock but remains optimistic he can recover in time for the match in London according to Toying Ibitoye, Super Eagles media officer.

‘We’re not expecting any player to join us in Poland again, all the absentees, who can make it to the team will join us in London.

‘We’re expecting Etebo who is insisting on coming despite his injury.

‘Akpeyi’s visa issue is a problem, but for Junior Ajayi, Gabriel Okechukwu and the captain Mikel Obi, we’re hoping they’ll be available in London,’ Ibitoye said.
