Injury blow for Super Eagles midfielder Innocent Bonke

Innocent Bonke has suffered an injury relapse, he was replaced early in Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter against Rennes.

Bonke was named as a starter for FC Lorient in their trip to Roazhon Park but he was stretched off after 34 minutes.

The Midfielder went down holding his hamstring and was later replaced in the 34th minute by French star Armand Laurienté.

Bonke’s latest injury set back comes only a few weeks after recovering from ankle ligament injury he suffered while on international duty with Nigeria.

No official date has been set for his return, but the former Malmo FF midfielder could spend another 14 days on the treatment table.

Unfortunately, FC Lorient would go on to lose 5-0 to Rennes who are challenging for UEFA Champions League place.

Terem Moffi also featured for Lorient, while Ugochukwu Lesley came on in the second half for Lorient.
