Injury Blow! Nigeria hit with major Absentees for Zambia clash

Super Falcons CB Onome Ebi miss Nigeria’s third place match against Zambia on Friday.

The skipper suffered hamstring injury ( biceps femoris muscle tear – Grade 2) in the semi-final defeat to the Atlas Lioness of Morocco at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah on Monday.

Ebi missed the team’s training and she has been declared unfit by Super Falcons Coach Randy Waldrum for the toe against Zambia.

The 39 year-old Defender is now expected to be sidelined for between six weeks or two months.

Onome Ebi is the third player to be ruled out of the game, after Rasheedat Ajibade and Halimatu Ayinde who were both sent off against Morocco.
