Inspiring Message Iwobi shared with Everton Teammates before win Against Man United

Alex Iwobi was the star of the show as Everton beat Manchester United to boost their chances of playing in the Premier League next season.

Iwobi started in his favorite midfield role and showed why the Club paid huge money to sign him from Arsenal three years ago.

The Nigerian was Everton’s best player on the pitch and he provided the assist for the lone goal that secured the three points for the Toffees.

Before the game, Iwobi told the press why the team must rise to the occasion and take the three points against Man United.

He said: “As a player we are too good to go down, we are not Championship players. We feel we have enough quality to stay up, we just have to prove it to ourselves and the fans. We’ll be already and it starts from Saturday” he said.

The Midfielder was a man of his words as he ran his heart out and fought for every ball and tackle.

He shone at every opportunity for the ball and those two traits have been in short supply in the Everton team this season.

His efforts didn’t go unnoticed. His name was on lips of every Everton fans at the Goodison Park and on Social Media.

Mersyside based journalist, Adam Jones also praised the Super Eagles midfielder for his superb performance.

“His energy and work-rate off the ball particularly were a shining example that every other Everton player should be following for the rest of the campaign.”

“This was arguably his best performance since arriving at the club – full of skill, strength, desire, pace and attacking intent.” He wrote in his latest work.

Iwobi is expected to be in action with Everton when they host Leicester City at the Goodison Park on the 20th of April.
