Super Eagles forward Isaac Success was in fine form on Wednesday Night after scoring Watford’s first goal in the Carabao Cup against Tottenham Hotspur.
Watford were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after losing on penalties against Tottenham.
It was a fairly even first half with both sides having chances to get the opening.
But it was the Hornets who got the opener moments after half-time as Isaac Success slammed home to make it 1-0.
Spurs drew level with 10 minutes remaining after Christian Kabasele fouled in the area, leaving Dele Alli to convert at the home of his former club.
Erik Lamela thought he’d got the winner for Tottenham before Etienne Capoue came back to haunt his former club with a deflected late equalizer of his own to make it 2-2.
So it went to penalties but missed spot-kicks from Etienne Capoue and Domingos Quina saw Tottenham through to the next round of the cup with a 4-2 shootout win.
