It wasn’t Clear! Maikaba Slams Officials over Dodgy Penalty in Defeat to Struggling Kano Pillars

Rangers head Coach Abdul Maikaba has slammed the officiating in Sunday’s NPFL defeat to Kano Pillars.

The CAF Confederations Cup ticket chasers suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Sai Masu Gida.

A converted penalty in the 48th minute of the encounter, after an alleged handball incident, condemned Rangers to the defeat away from home.

Speaking after the game, Maikaba said he wasn’t pleased with the performance of the match officials.

“In this game that had two teams with a different attachment to the game; We came to fight for the maximum points to enhance our chances of going to the continent next season while our opponent was fighting to get the points to enhance the fight against the drop.

Rangers maintain fourth spot on the log with 52 points from 35 matches and will next play host to 3SC at the Awka City Stadium on Saturday.
