Sunshine Stars technical adviser, Kennedy Boboye expressed frustration after his team’s 2-0 defeat to Kano Pillars, attributing the loss to his players’ failure to convert crucial opportunities.

Ahmed Musa’s double for Kano Pillars sealed the win in the matchday five encounter. Despite his team’s strong performance, Boboye lamented the wasted chances, particularly in the first half.

“We played well, but the result didn’t reflect our performance,” Boboye said post-match. “If we had converted our chances, we could have been 4 goals up by halftime.”

“When you fail to convert your chances, you get punished. Our opponents took theirs and made good use of them.

Boboye vowed that the team would continue working hard to bounce back in their next game against Rangers International.

“We will keep working hard to ensure we win our next game against Rangers International.”
