Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi ended his goal drought in the premier league when he found the back of the net in Everton’s win over Wolves on Tuesday.
Iwobi netted the opener as Everton defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at the Molineux to move into the top four.
It was Iwobi’s first Premier League goal since September 2019 and also his second goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for Toffees in this campaign.
He struck with just 6 minute into the match after he connected with Lucas Digne’s low cross and fire past Rui Patricio in goal for Wolverhampton.
The lead only lasted for 9 minutes, as Wolves hit back through Ruben Neves who volleyed home from Pedro Neto’s cross .
Everton got the important winner with 13 minutes from time, thanks to a thumping header from England defender Michael Keane.
The win took Everton to 4th spot on 32 points in the Premier League table, but they could return to fifth if Tottenham defeat Fulham later tonight.
