Iwobi help Everton seal win against Leeds United at Elland Road

Alex Iwobi played 87 minutes for Everton in the win over Leeds United at the Elland Road on Wednesday.

Iwobi started the match and it was his 18th league appearances for the Toffees this season.

The 24 year-old operated from the right side of the midfield and he caused the Leeds defense some problems.

First-half goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were enough to hand Everton, despite a fight back from Leeds United.

Sigurdsson tapped in Lucas Digne’s brilliant cross to hand the Toffees the lead inside nine minutes, before Calvert-Lewin doubled the Advantage with a header from close-range before the break.

Raphinha scored Leeds United’s consolation goal in the second half of the match.
