Jamilu Collins featured in Paderborn’s thrilling draw vs FC Heidenheim

Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins was in action for Paderborn in the 2 – 2 draw with FC Heidenheim in a German Bundesliga 2 encounter.

Collins, who recently signed a new contract with the club, started the match and played for 82nd minutes.

The left-full back was substituted for attacker Prince Osei Owusu with Paderborn.

Tim Kleindienst made it 0-1 to the visitors in the 13th minute courtesy of an assist from Patrick Mainka, before  Dennis Srbeny brought Paderborn back into the game with the equaliser from the penalty spot, on the stroke of half time.

In the 79th minute, Christian Kuhl restored the visitors lead when he fired past Leopold Zingerle in goal for Paderborn.

In a bid to rescue a point, Paderborn coach Steffen Baumgart, replaced Collins and Ron Schallenberg with Julian Just van and Prince Osei Owusu late on in the game.

The substitution changed the game and improved the attacking threat for the hosts as Srbeny scored the equaliser with the last kick of the game.

Paderborn are 10th on the log with 31 points from 22 matches.
