Joe Aribo was impressive in the UEFA Europa League final between Rangers and Frankfurt on Wednesday.
With Alfredo Morelos missing the game due to injury, Rangers boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst named Aribo as the spearhead of the attack.
The Nigerian justified the decision when he scored the opening goal of the game.
Aribo capitalised on a defensive mix-up from Frankfurt defenders and slotted the ball into the net with his left foot.
With the goal, Aribo becomes only the second Nigerian to score in a European club competition final, after Alex Iwobi who scored against Chelsea in the 2019 Europa League.
Frankfurt eventually equalized to take the game into extra-time, and went on win win 5-4 on penalties.
