Joe Aribo’s Transfer from Rangers falls through

Joe Aribo’s desire to leave Rangers in the current transfer window could still be in the works despite initial hitches.

Aribo has been linked with several Premier League clubs including Everton and Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have also been linked with a potential move for the Midfielder, who established himself at Rangers under former Manager Steven Gerrard.

He played 70 games last season, scored nine goals and provided 10 assists as Rangers reached the final of the Europa League final and also won the Scottish Cup.

Speaking on the future of the Young midfielder, football Expert Dean Jones said, Aribo’s first attempt to leave for another team fell through, but he could become an option in the next few days.

“I think Aribo will become an option a bit later in the window from what I’m told,” Jones told Give Me Sport.

“I think he had ideas of going somewhere else that have fallen through, and now they’re going to look at further options, and I know that Villa is just one of those that need to be explored. So that might happen but further down the line.”

Aribo is in the final year of his contract with the Gers and could be available for free should the club fail to tie him to a new deal.
