Super Eagles and Hapoel Be’er sheva Midfielder, John Ogu has expressed his optimism ahead of Saturday’s AFCON 2019 Qualifier against Libya.
Speaking to reporters in Uyo, Ogu said he believe the Super Eagles have the quality in the ranks to beat the Libyans both in Nigeria and away in Tunisia.
“We will start by giving all we have so to win the two games against them.”
Libya will be without coach Adel Amrouche after he quit over unpaid salaries, but Ogu insisted the Eagles will not be concerned with the internal problems of the North Africans.
“We won’t be carried away by their problems,” he maintained.
“These things happen in football.
“We just want to remain focused because our target is to get the three points on Saturday before we start thinking of the next game on Tuesday.”
Libya are top of Group E with four points from two matches, South Africa are second also on four points, while Nigeria are third having recorded three points.
