Nigeria U20 national team second assistant coach Atune Jolomi has stated that he is hopeful alongside other members of the Flying Eagles Technical crew that the team can resume very soon this month after WAFU announced that the CAF U20 qualification which was earlier scheduled for October 17-31 will now be staged from November 14-29, 2020 in Togo.
Jolomi speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the task beforehand is a very tough one but one the crew can handle while hoping that the Federal Government will expedite action on the resumption of contacts sports to enable the team to assemble and commence preparation accordingly for the regional CAF U20 cup of nations.
“It’s a tough job but by God’s grace, we have capable hands that can handle the situation but hopefully we must resume this month, just for the Federal Government to announce that contact sports has started.
We have most of the players from U17 those that came for screening their database, those that played the qualifiers that were dropped one way or the other, so we have a good pool of players to choose from.”
