WBC Cares Africa Chairman and CEO, Brila Media Dr. Larry Izamoje has given his thoughts on the Upcoming World Title Fight Between AJ v Pulev.
Joshua makes his long-awaited return to the ring – and to fighting in the UK – against Kubrat Pulev at The SSE Arena, Wembley this evening, and Dr. Larry Izamoje has shared his thoughts with brila.net on the fight.
“AJ is still the favorite to win because he is younger, taller, has the bigger reach, and is used to fighting under pressure.”
“AJ depends on his right hand to win a fight and does not have a strong defense. If he can avoid the C Punches of Kubrat Pulev, he will be able to win.”
“I see AJ winning this bout with a 6th round KO. It will be a shame for AJ if Pulev takes this fight to the judges, it will be a bigger shame if Pulev defeats him as a Mandatory fighter.”
“So it comes down to the type of AJ that will show up in London, will he be as cautious as he was against Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia, or will he be overconfident and will be punished as he was in Madison Square Garden?”
“I Hope to See the athletic, energetic AJ that we’ve known him to be because Pulev, who is known as the Cobra, is a dangerous fighter who with experience can defeat AJ and make history as the first Bulgarian World Heavyweight Champion.”
Joshua vs Pulev is scheduled to take place tonight, Saturday, December 12, 2020.
The bout will take place at London’s Wembley Arena, having originally been scheduled for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and, later, the O2 Arena.
