Elephant girls point guard Joy Ebiega says she’s taking bigger roles in the team ahead of the new season and expects to keep improving her game.
Ebiega won a championship, her first, with the Elephant Girls last season and admits the expectation of a big team with national tram players means she needs to step up.
Meanwhile, Basketball players have a big responsibility to make the game attractive to the fans according to Gombe Bulls Head Coach Abdulrahman Mohammed.
Speaking on the need for Athletes to also make their sports marketable and appealing, Abdulrahman told brila.net that the responsibility rested not just with Administrators, but basketball players alike.
A former player himself before he went on to coach in the Men’s senior national team, he stressed that through their performances on the court and conduct off it, fans will be drawn to Basketball arenas.
