Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has already decided on the five players to be dropped from next Month’s FIFA World Cup squad according to brila.net sources.
A close official working with the Franco-German Tactician confirmed the latest development to brila.net’s Babafemi Raji on Tuesday Night, by giving an insight into the five players to be dropped before leaving for London on Wednesday.
Injured KAA Gent’s winger Moses Simon has already been declared out by some media report, meanwhile, Bulgaria-based central defender Stephen Eze who is yet to make his debut will likely not be on the plane to Russia.
NPFL leading Goal scorer, Junior Lokosa will also be dropped despite showing some brilliance in Monday’s 1-1 draw against DR Congo, the World Cup is said to be too early for the 24-year-old forward who has no international exposure and experience.
Plateau United’s goalkeeper, Oladele Ajiboye is said to have been informed by Rohr himself why he won’t be going to the World Cup.
Lastly, Chelsea’s youngster, Olaoluwa Aina will also get the axe due to tactical decisions and his lack of International experience.
Rohr has said he will drop five players before the squad fly out to England from Abuja on Wednesday.
The coach will then drop two more players after the England game to have a final squad of 23 players for Russia 2018.
