Kano Pillars boss Ibrahim Musa is hoping to have his captain Ahmed Musa back for the mouthwatering clash against Akwa United this Sunday.
Musa missed the Sai Masu Gida’s 2-0 defeat to Rivers United on Wednesday due to his involvement with the National team.
Since his debut, the Pillars haven’t lost a match with Musa in the side and Coach Ibrahim believes he was solely missed against Rivers United.
“He played four matches, which we didn’t lose any. We played five and won before he came. We played nine matches without defeat.
“So, Ahmed Musa has a lot to do in Pillars. We miss him, we miss him. But definitely, by the grace of God, you’ll see him against Akwa United (in our next match).” he said.
Kano Pillars are second on the log with 48 points from 26 matches, but they could regain their lead on the table, if they beat current leaders Akwa United on Sunday.
