Kano Pillars Board member, Sani Lawal Mohammed has reacted to the pamdemonium that occured in the Matchday 15 of the NPFL against Kastina United on Wednesday.
The NPFL served up some mouthwatering contest and drama as usual, however game day was also doused with an unsavory incident up in Katsina.
The host, Katsina United were held by Kano Pillars, 1-1 after 90 minutes, but some unruly fans lynched officials and attempted to attack players of the visiting team inside the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
In a chat with Brila.net, The board member said he got the full brief from the head coach and it is obvious that one thing led to the whole fracas.
“Kano pillars and Kastina United have an history of chaos and fighting during or after matches which we thought has been put to rest’.
“When I spoke to the coach, he told me the the officiating today was the worst he has seen in his entire career,”
“He claimed Kano pillars were denied three clear penalties, and upon half time, the armed Kastina fans stopped his team from entering the dressing room”, Sani told brila.net.
