Katsina United humiliates Wikki Tourists at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium

It was a disappointing day for Usman Abdallah as his Wikki Tourist side were humiliated 5-1 by Katsina United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.

Katsina United started on a front foot and were awarded a penalty inside the opening 15 minute after Mustapha Abdullahi upended Samuel Nnoshiri in the box.

Wikki Tourist goalkeeper Ibrahim Pius, however, saved the penalty, but Atule Joseph was at the right to fire home the rebound.

The Changi Boys continued to attack and the second goal came five minutes after half hour mark when Rasheed Ahmed scored with a close range tap-in from Atule Joseph’s low cross.

Debutant Samuel Nnoshiri made in 3-0 four minutes later with superb finish off another assist from Atule Joseph.

New signing Stephen Gopey gave Abdallah little hope of come back three minutes into the second half after finding the back of net with a left-footed shot. The goal was assisted by Joel Djondang.

Katsina United however responded perfectly and it was Samuel Kalu who restored their three-goal lead with a fine finish, thanks to another assist from Atule Joseph.

Rasheed Ahmed completed the rout with a fine header from well taken corner kick by Samuel Kalu in the 74th minutes.

The result moves Katsina United to 16th position in the table, two points adrift Wikki Tourists who currently occupies 15th position.
