Kevin Itoya downplays Rivers United’s scary transfer activities

Enugu Rangers forward Kelvin Itoya has downplayed the potential of the seemingly scary transfer activities of Nigeria Professional Football League side Rivers united over the spate of top signings made already ahead of the 2020/2021 football season.

Itoya speaking in a chat with  www.brila.net acknowledged the weight of the signings made by the Port Harcourt based side already which included players with cognate experience of playing on the continent at one point or the other.
He, however, stressed that the signings don’t automatically translate to Rivers united been the front runner for the NPFL title next season.
“Football is practical and it’s a good development that Rivers united are assembling the best legs in the NPFL, some other clubs are signing too I think all clubs in the NPFL are also trying to beef up their team. They are signing players who have played in the continent before, they are doing a good job signing new players. I commend them for that. Signing the best legs in the league doesn’t guarantee them the league.”
