President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation Engr. Musa Kida has hailed the Nigeria men basketball national team after the D’Tigers 86-73 win over China to pick a ticket to the 2020 Olympic games.
Kida speaking in a chat gathered by www.brila.net after the win commended the effort of the team for ensuring that Nigeria picked the Olympic ticket against all odds especially having to win against host nation China to achieve this feat.
“Basketball has come to stay in Nigeria, we are out to shock everybody. So I am not surprised that our boys fought very hard, played very hard and they won beating the host team to pick the ticket playing host nation China.”
