Kompany admits Anderletch must be at their best to stop Onuachu

Anderlecht gaffer Vincent Kompany is wary of Paul Onuachu ahead of his side’s meeting Genk in the Belgian championship play-off clash on Wednesday.

Onuachu has hit over 30 goals this season and he’s the reason Genk are fighting to reach next season UEFA Champions League.

The Nigerian international netted his latest goal for Genk against Club Brugge at the Luminus Arena on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the big clash between Anderlecht and Genk, Kompany admitted his boys must be at their best to silence the in-form striker and his teammates.

“Onuachu? If you score 30 goals, then you know. that the boy has confidence. We can go over them all and Bongonda and Ito are also there.

”We have to be top against that as a team. If we are a little less strong as a team, then we have a difficult time. But we remain competitive because there are is always a basis on which we can fall back. “ He told the press conference.

Genk are currently second on the playoff standing with 34 points, two points above their opponents, after two round of games.
