National boxing coach, Anthony Konyegwachi has submitted that with proper sponsorship, he sees boxing doing better than football in the country, while calling on corporate bodies to help the sport financially.
Konyegwachi told www.brila.net that Nigeria have the materials as well as the coaches to improve the sport, provided sponsors key into boxing and help enhance the funding of the Sports.
“We’re coming up but we can do more when we have assistance, sponsors, people coming around to support. If you support Boxing, we can even do better than Football because we have the materials- the boxers and good coaches that will help take Boxing to the world class level. “
