KP Boateng Extends Las Palmas Stay till 2020

Ghana International, Kevin Prince Boateng has agreed a contract extension with La Liga side UD Las Palmas until 2020 without increased pay.

Boateng, 30, joined Las Palmas on a free from AC Milan at the beginning of the season and has scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for the Gran Canaria club, and he’s looking to get more he told the press at the announcement.

The club waved its option to trigger Boateng’s his extension in April according to club president, Miguel Ángel Ramírez.

Ramírez said they wanted the player to decide his future and are glad he has chosen to stay “without increasing a penny his remuneration.”

Speaking at Thursday’s press conference, the German-born former Black Stars midfielder said:

“I will continue for three more years, I am very happy we are all.

” Money is important but it is not everything, for me it is much better to train well and be happy having less money and at UD Las Palmas I am very happy. ”

He added: “I believe in this team and in the future and that’s why I want to be part of this and help the club to grow with my experience”, he emphasizes.

“Next year I want to make more goals and give more assists, I am very happy in Gran Canaria, I just need to have my family closer, otherwise I have everything to be happy.” insisted the Berliner.

President of UD Las Palmas, accompanied the player and stated that:

“It is great news for everyone that Prince has renewed, we wanted to make it public next week.”

“We had the possibility to automatically renew him in April but I decided not to exercise That option and that the desire of the player prevailed “. He added that: His family lives in Italy and is a great sacrifice for Prince. We are very grateful to him to return to bet by the UD Las Palmas”.

“I hope that we give back great goals and assists. No one is hiding the international importance that Prince gives us, I have to say that he renews his contract without increasing a penny his remuneration, since he knows his economic possibilities which I thank him enormously”.
