Flying Eagles striker Kparobo Arierhi has been named by CAF as one of five rising stars to watch at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Arierhi, 18, earned the attention at the WAFU B U-20 Championship, where he scored three goals including a decisive brace in the final to help Nigeria clinch the regional title.

His clinical finishing and composure in front of goal marked him out as one of the key figures in Nigeria’s youth setup.
The Lillestrøm forward will lead the line for the Flying Eagles again in Egypt as they target their eighth U-20 AFCON title.
Meanwhile, the young forward is expected to lead the line for Nigeria against Tunisia in their opener on Thursday.
CAF, in its feature on breakout talents, described Arierhi as “a natural finisher” with the potential to be decisive in Nigeria’s title charge.
“If Nigeria are to add another U-20 continental title to their rich history, Arierhi’s finishing prowess will be crucial,” CAF wrote on their website.
Arierhi joins an elite list of prospects highlighted by CAF, including Ghana’s Jerry Afriyie, South Africa’s Jody Ah Shene, Egypt’s Mohamed Zaalouk, and Senegal’s Pierre Dorival.
