Nigeria’s D’Tigers was beaten for the second time at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup African Qualifiers after losing 84-62 to Senegal at the Palaise des Sports arena in Abidjan,on Sunday.
The Nigeria side had beaten Central African Republic 72-59 on Saturday after their shocking 76-42 lost to Cote d’Ivoire 76-42.
The Alex Nwora side lost the first quarter 27-19, before they bounced back to win the second quarter 13-15. In the third quarter, The Senegalese came back, fired from all cylinders and managed to steal the quarter with 23-19 scoreline.
In the final quarter, Nwora’s side lost 24-10 but despite the defeat,the D’Tigers finished top of Group F with impressive ten wins with22 points from 12 games.
