Marseille 1-3 Nantes: Comfortable Win for Simon Moses and Co to end Six-game Winless Run

Simon Moses played 90 minutes as FC Nantes ended a six-game winless run in all competitions following a stunning 3-1 win away to Olympique Marseille on Saturday at the Orange Vélodrome.

Moses picked up a yellow card, but was also kept the defence busy on the night, going close twice in the game.

 

Anthony Limbombe broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, but the visitors were pegged back by Morgan Sanson five minutes later.

 

But Kader Bamba restored Nantes’ lead for before they were gifted another by an Alvaro Gonzalez owngoal (90+1′) to wrap up a good night for Christian Gourcuff’s side.

 

‘It’s a good victory, it’s great satisfaction this evening. The possession was not so pleasing but we did what we wanted to do. We deprived them of solutions. It’s a great satisfaction to have presented this face, ” said Gourcuff.

 

The win marks the third win in four matches for Nantes over Marseille.
