Leganes coach Javier Aguirre has revealed that Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo suffered a muscle injury in his side’s 2-1 loss to Barcelona in a La Liga match on Saturday afternoon.
Omeruo who has lost his place in the national team to Semi Ajayi was replaced by Rodrigo Tarín in the 83rd minute after feeling discomfort in his left thigh.
After Saturday’s game at Estadio Municipal de Butarque, Manager Aguirre told the media that the former Chelsea defender suffered a muscular injury.
Aguirre said: ”They are injuries that can take a while. Omeruo has something muscular and Rosales looks like a sprain.”
Omeruo is now a major doubt for Leganes’ next league match against Sevilla on Sunday, December 1.
He has also missed key games against Osasuna, Villarreal, Levante, Mallorca and SD Eibar.
