In India, a woman who was racially abused on a train scared off the thug by stripping down to her bra and challenging him to a fight.

The African woman was on a crowded Delhi Metro train when some men began to pick on her and her friend.

The dispute is thought to have broken out over seats in the northern Indian city.

The men arguing with the two women turned out to be among the many anti-African racists in India, and their argument turned to racial slurs.

A witness videoed the row with a smartphone as the train travelled from the Green Park station on Delhi‘s Yellow line.

In the clip, the visibly furious African woman peels off her jumper to the astonishment of all present.

A World Values Survey report in 2013 found that India was the second most racist country in the world behind Jordan.

Some 41% of respondents saying they would not want a neighbour of a different race.

But the same survey run in 2016 found that the country had become more tolerant, with only 25.6 percent of Indians saying they would not want a neighbour of a different race.
