Liverpool 2-1 Leicester: Big Night for Ndidi, but Leicester Lose at Anfield

Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were on duty for Leicester City in their last Premier League match of the year, at Anfield on Friday.

Ndidi returned to the starting line up after being dropped for the Boxing day clash with Newcastle United.

The midfielder also captained the Foxes in what was his 12th Premier League appearance of the campaign.

The former Genk’s man however lasted an hour on the pitch as he was replaced by Youri Tielemans.

On his part Kelechi Iheanacho started the game from the bench, much like he did against Newcastle United.

He was introduced for Ayoze Perez in the 71st minute, with Leicester City trailing 2-1 in the game.

Iheanacho failed to make a meaningful impac, he had just few touches and failed to record any shot on goal.

Leicester lost 2-1, no thanks to two own goals from Belgian defender Wout Faes, after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall had put the Foxes in front.
