Liverpool have been crowned Premier League champions after thrashing Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield on Sunday.
Arne Slot’s side needed just a point to officially seal the crown but blew away Spurs in devastating fashion.
Goals from Luis Díaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah, alongside a Destiny Udogie own goal, completed a dominant display.
“This is the most beautiful club in the world. We deserve this. We are going to enjoy the next couple of weeks and take it in,” captain Virgil van Dijk said.
Salah’s goal, his 185th in the Premier League, also made him the league’s top-scoring foreign player.
Slot’s Emotional Tribute to Klopp
After the final whistle, Arne Slot gave a heartfelt nod to former manager Jürgen Klopp, singing his name to the crowd in a beautiful moment of unity.
“I send my appreciation to Jürgen,” Slot said, smiling, before leading the Anfield crowd in chanting Klopp’s name to the tune of Opus’ “Live Is Life.”
Slot, who left Feyenoord to succeed Klopp last summer, achieved the near-impossible — taking Liverpool back to the top in his first season.
“They always find a way to win. Incredibly proud, not only of the players but the people standing here, sport directors, my staff members, we should give them a big round of applause,” Slot said.
“Let’s forget it’s the second in 35 years, it’s the second in five years.”
A Title Celebration 35 Years in the Making
Unlike their last title win during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, this time Liverpool fans were able to fully soak up the glory inside Anfield.
The celebrations had started hours before kick-off with red smoke flooding the streets.
Anfield delivered a performance befitting the occasion. After Solanke’s shock opener for Spurs, Liverpool roared back:
Luis Díaz equalized after 16 minutes, turning in Dominik Szoboszlai’s pass.
Alexis Mac Allister fired Liverpool ahead with a screamer from the edge of the box.
Cody Gakpo made it 3-1 before halftime with a composed finish.

Mohamed Salah cut inside to add the fourth, celebrating by taking a selfie with the Kop behind him.
Destiny Udogie completed Spurs’ misery with an own goal after pressure from Salah.
At the final whistle, players, staff, and fans erupted into wild celebrations, red flares filling the sky around Anfield.
Tottenham Play Perfect Party Guests
Tottenham initially threatened a shock after Solanke’s goal but quickly crumbled.
Ange Postecoglou, missing several key players ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final, watched helplessly as his side fell apart.
Spurs suffered their 19th league defeat of the season, and Postecoglou’s future remains uncertain after this dismal campaign.
Liverpool’s Dynasty Restored
Liverpool’s incredible record this season:
Only two defeats in 34 league games.
15 points clear at the top.
Four games still remaining.
Slot has not only matched Klopp’s success but carved his name into Anfield history with a Premier League title won in style.
With the league secured, Liverpool can now look ahead to potentially adding more silverware and building a new era of dominance under their dynamic Dutch boss.
